Ms. Walker is a Health Aide at the Teen Health Center, Inc.'s clinic at Austin Middle School and Collegiate Academy at Weis in Galveston. She has worked for the Teen Health Center, Inc. since 2010.

Heather Cash, LCSW

Ms. Cash is a Mental Health Therapist who sees patients at Ball High School in Galveston. She earned a Bachelor of Social Work degree at the University of Houston Clear Lake and a Master of Social Work degree at the University of Houston. Ms. Cash has worked for the Teen Health Center, Inc. since 2018.

Laurie Piland, LMSW

Ms. Piland is a Mental Health therapist who sees patients at AIM Preparatory Academy and the District Alternative Education Program. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a Master of Arts in Social Work from the University of Texas at San Antonio. Ms. Piland has worked for the Teen Health Center, Inc. since 2019.

Administration

Janette Martinez

Mrs. Martinez is our Mental Health Intake Coordinator. She graduated from Galveston College in December 2017 with an Associate's Degree in Healthcare Administration. Ms. Martinez has worked for the Teen Health Center, Inc. since 2020. 

China Smith, PA

Mrs. Smith our Physician Assistant at the Moody Early Childhood Center. China obtained her Bachelor of Arts in Medical Humanities from Baylor University in 2015. She then went on to complete her Master of Physician Assistant Studies from UTMB in 2018. She spent two years at UTMB in Infectious Disease.  She now holds with Teen Health Center in the Department of Pediatrics. China is board certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants and is licensed by the Texas Medical Board.  

Lauressa Uribe

Ms. Uribe is a Health Aide at the Central Middle School Teen Health Center, Inc. clinic.  She trained as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) at College of the Mainland in Texas City and began working at the Teen Health Center, Inc. in 2006. Ms. Uribe was Teen Health's 2018 Employee of the Year.

Erin Kearney-Conrad, PA

Mrs. Kearney-Conrad manages the Teen Health Center, Inc.'s clinics at Austin Middle School and Collegiate Academy at Weis in Galveston. She earned a BA in Communication from St. Edwards University and a Master's in Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Texas Medical Branch. She is Board Certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants. Ms. Kearney-Conrad has worked for Teen Health since 2008.  

Keiva Rogers, MSW

Ms. Rogers is a Mental Health Case Manager for Causeway Galveston campuses. She earned a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from University of Houston – Clear Lake and a Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Texas – Arlington. Ms. Rogers has worked for the Teen Health Center, Inc. since 2018.  

Beth Auslander, PhD

Dr. Auslander is the Mental Health Director for the Teen Health Center, Inc., overseeing all aspects of our mental health program.  She received her bachelor’s degree from Samford University and her PhD in clinical psychology from Florida State University.  Dr. Auslander completed an internship at Baylor College of Medicine and a Leadership and Education in Adolescent Health fellowship at Texas Children’s Hospital and Baylor College of Medicine.  She is a licensed psychologist and licensed specialist in school psychology and provides direct patient care using evidence-based assessment and treatment approaches.  Dr. Auslander also is a professor in Pediatrics at the University of Texas Medical Branch, where she conducts research aimed at promoting child and adolescent health through school-based settings. She has worked at the Teen Health Center, Inc. since 2002. 

Angie Brown, MS

Mrs. Brown is the Executive Director of the Teen Health Center, Inc. with responsibility for all agency functions including staff, programs, funding, and financial management. She earned a Bachelor's degree from Texas Tech University and a Master's degree from the University of Florida. Ms. Brown has experience with numerous nonprofit organizations, including the Center for Hearing and Speech in Houston; the National Marrow Donor Program (Be The Match) in Minneapolis; and the National Trust for Historic Preservation in Washington, DC. She was a founding board member of the Galveston Children's Museum; served on the boards of directors for the Galveston Historical Foundation and the Galveston Arts Center; has served as secretary, treasurer, and president of her children's public school PTOs; and is a past president of the Junior League of Galveston County, Inc. Ms. Brown has worked for the Teen Health Center, Inc. since 2016. 

Richard Rupp, MD

Dr. Rupp is the Medical Director for the Teen Health Center, Inc., supervising the medical providers at the organization's school-based clinics. He earned a Bachelor's degree from Arizona State University and his medical degree from St. Louis University School of Medicine. He completed his residency at Wilford Hall Medical Center, Lackland Air Force Base, Texas and his Adolescent Medicine fellowship at William Beaumont Medical Center, in El Paso. Dr. Rupp is board-certified in pediatrics and adolescent medicine. He is also professor and chief of the division of Adolescent and Behavioral Health at the University of Texas Medical Branch. Dr. Rupp has worked with the Teen Health Center, Inc. since 2000.

Timesha Edwards, PA

Ms. Edwards manages the Teen Health Center, Inc.'s clinic at Central Middle School in Galveston. She earned a BS in Biology/Chemistry from Philander Smith College and a Masters of Medical Science in Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center. She is Board Certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants. Ms. Edwards has worked for Teen Health since 2017.  

Jocelyne Ibarra, LMSW


Ms. Ibarra is the Mental Health Therapist at Austin Middle School.  Jocelyne received Bachelors of social work from the University at Houston Clear Lake in 2019 while interning for Teen Health Center. She was awarded advance standing in the University of Houston main campus for social work completing the program in 12 months including an internship at The Center for Success and Independence.  

Jamal Gamble, MA

Mr. Gamble is the Communications Coordinator for the Teen Health Center, Inc. He earned a BA in Communications from the University of Texas at San Antonio and an MA in Digital Media and Professional Communication from Texas Southern University. Mr. Gamble has worked for Teen Health since 2020.  

Sonia Johnican

Ms. Johnican is a Health Aide at the Ball High School clinic. She received a certification as a medical assistant from Remington College and a certification in medical billing and coding from the Ultimate Medical Academy. Ms. Johnican has worked for the Teen Health Center, Inc. since 2015.

Martha Norris, PA

Mrs. Norris manages the Teen Health Center, Inc. clinic at Ball High School in Galveston. She earned a Bachelor's degree in Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Texas Medical Branch. She is Board Certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants. She has worked for the Teen Health Center, Inc. since 2009 and was our 2020 Employee of the Year.

Sandy Coker

Ms. Coker is our Psychiatry Case Manager at the Ball High School clinic.  She has worked for the Teen Health Center, Inc. since 2017 and was Teen Health's 2019 Employee of the Year.

Marissa Nelson, LPC-Intern

Ms. Nelson is a Mental Health Therapist who sees patients at Ball High School. She earned a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology and a Master's Degree in Clinical Psychology from the University of Houston - Clear Lake. Ms. Nelson interned at Teen Health for a year and was hired full-time in 2020. 

Becca Wallace, LCSW-S

Ms. Wallace is a Mental Health Therapist who sees patients at Central Middle School in Galveston. She earned a Master's degree in Social Work from the University of Oklahoma. Ms. Wallace has worked for the Teen Health Center, Inc. since 2017.
